So today – October 15th – marks the 10th anniversary of the first Zeptepi gig, in the shabby dark back room of the Belgravia in Footscray! Since that fateful day we’ve performed about 300 shows, released 8 albums and, to the best of our recollection, we’ve had 18 different members play shows with us.
A massive thank you to everyone who’s supported us over the years – check out our 10th Annniversary Photo Album for a trip down memory lane…
Phil is currently working on a side-project called The Gathering Tide, a little more stripped-back and laid-back than Zeptepi. Be sure to check it out, all new songs and a good few gigs coming up over the next few months!
Here’s a clip of The Fisherman, performed at the National Celtic Festival in Portarlington back in June. We took a couple of cameras with us, and recorded the audio too. After much beavering away in the editing room, we’ve finally made some progress – this is the first of a bunch of videos from the festival that we’ll upload over the next week or so. Best version of this song so far?
Here at Zeptepi HQ we’ve been enjoying a break from touring, but we’ve not been lazy! We’ve got a lot of audio and video footage to work our way through from recent times, and here’s the first fruit of our labours… a video clip for The Swiftsure.
We put this together from film captured during our performance on the deck of The Enterprize at the 2014 National Celtic Festival in Portarlington. This track is available on our Coming Up For Air album.
Our last weekend of shows for 2014 was fantastic, with some great gigs at the National celtic Festival in Portarlington. You can view some pictures from the weekend here…
We also did some filming and audio recording at the festival, so look out from some more goodies from this festival to come in the future!
We did a great live-to-air session at Studio 5 Live for PBS106.7fm back in November last year. One of the tracks, Coming Up For Air, was selected to feature on the free CD given away to PBS subscribers this year. And here it is…
Ahoy there – our first show at the National Celtic Festival on Saturday 7th June is onboard The Enterprize at 12:30pm! We’re pretty excited to be able to perform a set of sea-shanties aboard an old sailing ship as you can imagine. Here’s a picture of our “stage”…
However… festival tickets DO NOT include this particular show! If you would like to sail with us for an hour or so on this beautiful ship, be aware that tickets are very limited – you can book in advance on The Enterprize website (recommended!) or chance to luck and simply turn up on the day and see if any spots are remaining.
We now have our performance schedule for the National Celtic Festival in Portarlington (VIC), 6-9 June…
Sat 7 – 12:30pm – The Enterprize
Sat 7 – 4:45pm – Celtic Club
Sun 8 – 2:20pm – The Club Room (kids show)
Sun 8 – 11:20pm – Celtic Club
Mon 9 – 2:15pm – Village Stage
As previously mentioned, these will be our last shows of 2014.

While we were at the Australian Celtic Festival, we had the opportunity to attend the Australian Celtic Music Awards on the Saturday night. We were up for 7 awards, and happily made the final 3 nominees for Best Instrumental (Patricia Anne’s Waltz), Best Male Singer and Best Contemporary Song (The Swiftsure) – but alas, no award!
