With the band on an extended break from live activities these last 2 years, it seemed a good time for a look back and release a compilation of our best stuff. Out now is an 18-track best of compilation entitled After the Rain – it’s available as a download from iTunes, Amazon and many more, and you can also stream it via Spotify.
The Book of Lost Songs Volume 2 is out today! A 17 track collection of unreleased material recorded betwixt 2008-2014. It’s available as a free/pay-what-you-like download from our Bandcamp store. More details and track listing here.
This is the second of three albums to be released over the next few weeks!

Phil will be appearing at the 2017 National Celtic Festival in Portarlington on June 9-11 with his band The Gathering Tide. Three shows over the weekend, see the program for details. Zeptepi played at this festival 4 times, it’s an absolute cracker!
Phil will be joined by Peter O’Shea on fiddle, former Zeptepi drummer Paul Angas, and bass player Steve Temple.
A couple of new additions to the online shop…
Firstly, we have a few more CDs available of our Ladder Factory Sessions album available – these come with a bonus track not available on the download. This sold out ages ago, but a studio clear-out has unearthed a few extra copies!
We also have a limited edition run of our Live 07.06.2014 album now available on CD, which also comes with a live DVD from the same show. The DVD has a bunch of extras on it too. Previously this album was only available as a download.
Phil returns to the UK in July, this time without Zeptepi, and will be playing a select few shows – full details can be found at www.gatheringtide.com.
Well, not very much at Zeptepi HQ as we take a bit of a break. However, if you want to see what the various band members are up to, read on…
Phil is working on a solo project, The Gathering Tide, and hopes to be releasing some new music soon as well as playing a few solo dates in the UK in July. CC Thornley is doing some solo shows. Claire Johnstone is playing with Melbourne band Samassin. You can catch Brian Caffrey drumming in and around Melbourne with the Gun Barrel Straights. And you can keep up with Patrick Lyons here!
We sold out of the CD version of our 2010 album Stormclouds ages ago, but it turns out you can still get a version at the Trad & Now online store here. Get in quick, only a few left!
